New Library Browser
Redesigned Browser
You can now explore sounds faster with Falcon’s redesigned browser since version 3.1. The new interface offers a fast and intuitive experience with improved search functionality, favorites, tagging, and a streamlined layout. Browsing in Falcon has never been easier.
Audio Previews
Audition presets before loading with Falcon’s new audio previews. Every preset across the entire UVI catalog now has an audio preview, allowing you to quickly find the right sound without interrupting your workflow.
Preset Tags
Streamline your searches with the introduction of tags across the entire UVI catalog. Over 50,000 presets have been meticulously tagged, making it easier than ever to find the exact sounds you need.
Requirements and General Information
To take full advantage of Falcon’s new Library Browser features, please ensure the following:
- You’ve installed the latest version of Falcon (3.1.1). You can check this at the bottom left corner of the Falcon interface.
- The latest Tag Library is installed via UVI Portal.
- All your UVI Soundware is up to date via UVI Portal.
- The ‘Indexed’ option is enabled for all soundbank locations in Falcon’s Preferences.
- Auto Preview is turned on in the Library Browser (look for the circled arrow with blue triangle icon at the bottom right of the browser).
- No active search filter is unintentionally filtering out the presets you're looking for.
- You have the correct display settings selected—check the Favorites, Instruments, and Sounds icons at the top right of the Library Browser.
Please note that the TagLibrary.ufs is not a soundbank file and should not be mounted in the browser. It contains audio preview files for presets in your UVI Library.
To open the Library Browser, double-click a program name or an empty part from the Parts List, Mixer, or Performance view, or choose Load Program from the Toolbar menu, or click the Browser Toggle icon.
Supported Products
All current existing UVI products are supported in the Library Browser.
Legacy and discontinued products may lack preset tags or audio previews, so we recommend moving all legacy and discontinued soundbank files to a dedicated location. Then, add this location to the soundbank paths list in Falcon's Preferences, ensuring the 'indexed' option is disabled. This will prevent them from appearing in the Library Browser.
