Problem
The following error message may show up in UVI Workstation or Falcon when loading a project or a multi:
"This script was created with a more recent version of UVIScript: xx. Please upgrade your software."
Solution
This means that UVI Workstation or Falcon needs to be updated to the latest version in order to support the loaded soundbanks:
- Quit the application (UVI Workstation, Falcon, or your DAW)
- Launch UVI Portal, then (re)install the latest UVI Workstation or Falcon
- Restart the computer
Windows users:
If you still experience the same error although UVI Workstation or Falcon appears as up to date in UVI Portal, your DAW is likely still pointing to an old version of the UVI Workstation or Falcon plug-in files:
- Locate and manually delete any of following plug-in files on your system:
- UVIWorkstationVSTx64.dll
- UVIWorkstation.vst3
- FalconVSTx64.dll
- Falcon.vst3
Please note that the common default VST locations for UVI products are typically:
C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins - Open UVI Portal, then reinstall the latest UVI Workstation or Falcon
- Restart the computer
- Open your DAW, then rescan your VST locations if required
If you are unable to locate the UVI Workstation/Falcon plug-in files on your system, open UVI Portal and disable 'Silent Install' in the Preferences, then reinstall UVI Workstation or Falcon. That way, you will be asked to select the correct VST location during the installation process.
