Problem

Your UVI product does not show up as a plug-in in your DAW.

Solutions

Please note that all UVI software and effects are exclusively available as 64-bit plug-ins, so first make sure that you are running a 64-bit sequencer (DAW).

macOS

On macOS, UVI plug-ins are automatically installed to the default system folders. Make sure that these folders are listed in your DAW's plug-in settings:

• AU: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/
• VST: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/
• VST3: /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/
• AAX: /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/

Windows

On Windows, the typical default plug-in folders are listed below:

• VST:
  • \Program Files\VSTPlugins\
  • \Program Files\Steinberg\VSTPlugins\
• VST3: \Program Files\Common Files\VST3\
• AAX: \Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-ins\

Note that you may have set different VST locations. In this case, you can disable the option 'Silent Install' in the Preferences in UVI Portal so you can select your custom VST locations during the installation process. Make sure that these system and/or custom locations are listed in your DAW's plug-in settings.

Troubleshooting

If your UVI product still does not show up in your DAW, please check the suggestions below (you may refer the user manual of your DAW):

• Restart your computer
• Restart your DAW
• Rescan your plug-in folders
• Clear any blacklisted/blocked plug-ins
• (VST/VST3) Locate and delete any duplicate DLL or VST3 plug-in files on your system, then uninstall and reinstall the product via UVI Portal. You can refer to the UVI Plug-in File Names listed below.
• (AAX) Reset the AAX plug-in cache
• (AU) Reset the Audio Units cache
