If required, you can reset the AAX cache for the specific product (for Pro Tools 2023.12 and later) or perform a full plug-in rescan (for Pro Tools 2023.9 and earlier) when restarting Pro Tools.
How to Reset the AAX Cache for a Specific Plug-In on macOS
(Pro Tools 2023.12 and later)

Exit Pro Tools
Close the Pro Tools application completely. -
Locate the AAX Plugin Cache
Open the Finder and navigate to:/Users/Shared/Pro Tools/AAXPluginCache/

Find the Plug-In Cache File
Look for the.plugincache
file associated with your UVI product, such asUVIWorkstationAAX.aaxplugin.plugincache
. -
Back Up the Cache File
Move this file to a safe location, like your Desktop, to keep a backup. -
Restart Pro Tools
Relaunch Pro Tools. The plug-in will be rescanned, and a new.plugincache
file will be generated in the AAXPluginCache folder. -
Verify and Remove the Backup
If the issue is resolved, you can safely delete the original.plugincache
file you backed up in step 4.
How to Reset the AAX Cache for All Plug-Ins on macOS
(Pro Tools 2023.9 and earlier)

Exit Pro Tools
Close the Pro Tools application completely. -
Open the Preferences Folder
In the Finder, press ⇧⌘G or select Go > Go to Folder from the menu bar. -
Navigate to the Cache Location
Copy and paste the following path, then press Enter:~/Library/Preferences/Avid/Pro Tools/

Find and Back Up the Plug-Ins Cache File
Look for theInstalledAAXPlugIns
file, then move it to a safe location, like your Desktop, to keep a backup. -
Restart Pro Tools
Relaunch Pro Tools to initiate a full rescan of all plug-ins. -
Verify and Remove the Backup
If the issue is resolved, you can safely delete the originalInstalledAAXPlugIns
file you backed up in step 4.
